DIAGNOSTIC & OPERATIVE LAPAROSCOPY
Diagnostic laparoscopy is a process to find out the exact condition of the uterus, tubes and surrounding structures. This is done with the help of a telescope, which is inserted into the abdomen through the belly button. It is done under general anaesthesia.
Operative laparoscopy can be used to correct underlying disorders that can hamper the possibility of a pregnancy, like, ovarian cyst, endometriosis, uterine fibroid, adhesions (scar tissue) in the abdomen hampering tubal function, etc.
